Music Concerts and Events

We put on great concerts, events and workshops.

Previous concerts included crooner Malcolm McNeil, Jazz man Nathan Haines, home-grown singer song writer Mel Parsons and guitarist Kevin Watson.

 

Monica & Sarah previewed all their two-women shows on stage at ArtDoc.

 

The series "Country in the Country" featured New Zealand top musicians Andrew London and Mike Garner creating their own version of Hot Red Blues en Blue Grass Roots music and Jess Chambers.

 

Blues by Mozo from Seatle and Ruth Wyand with the upcoming event Mamma's got the blues

 

 

Jackie Bristow - opening act for Bonnie Raitt sang her intimate R&B songs for us recently.

 Isaiah B Brunt travelled to New Orleans from Sydney Australia to record his first purely electric album, demonstrating what happens when he arcs up his favorite 70’s strat and plugs into a wah wah pedal using his trademark slide.

Each song evokes a feeling afforded to old fashioned

Storytelling, leading you on a dreamlike journey inwards. Local NOLA drummer Mark Whitaker conjures up some hypnotic beats that complement the songs perfectly. Richard Bird plays some solid grooves on bass that drive the rhythm section. Mike

Hood features on both piano and Hammond organ adding that distinctive NOLA feel
